Hello! My name is Joyce Bloyer, and I love to play fiddle tunes! I’ve been playing this type of music for about 7 years or so. I also enjoy writing new tunes – some are ok, others are not so ok, but….that’s OK! There is a local group that meets almost every week for Monday Night Jam, and they are lots of fun to play music with. Jamming with friends is much more expressive and rewarding than sitting at home playing the piano by myself!
Ah, music! Fiddle tunes – old time, Celtic, contradance, bluegrass….the list goes on. The guitar is my favorite instrument, and as I was learning, and still am, how to flatpick, there were times that I wished that there were resources available for free in the internet. As a new learner, I couldn’t even begin to play the “fancy” arrangements that I found. So, with that in mind, I wanted to create a site where there are simple, straightforward notation and TABs for fiddle tunes. I might branch out later and add some arrangements, but for now, I want to stick to the plain and simple versions of the tunes. The guitar can be used for more than just the chords. It’s fun and rewarding to be able to play the tunes, even if it’s just at home or in a jam.
Now, if you can read music, that is a bonus, and you can easily follow the notes if you know where they are on your guitar fretboard. If you don’t know where the notes are, or don’t read music, then TABs are the way to go!

So, get out your guitar, and sit a spell. Play a tune and get lost in the music. You’ll be glad that you did!
